Agathelos the Raging
Agathelos the Raging is a giant armored boar kept penned inside Razorfen Kraul. The quilboar revere boars as gifts of their demigod Agamaggan, and the Death's Head have been feeding this one bat guano to drive it mad and turn it into a weapon. It is a level 33 elite beast that charges, stuns and enrages, and it is often the last fight before the crone Charlga Razorflank.
Background
To the quilboar, Agamaggan was a colossal boar who died fighting the Burning Legion during the War of the Ancients, and the thorns of the Razorfen grew where his blood fell. Large and fierce boars are seen as a sign of his favor. Agathelos is the largest of them all, roughly twice the size of a thunder lizard, and he grows larger still when enraged.
The Death's Head, the quilboar sect that has turned to necromancy and joined The Scourge, keep Agathelos in a short tunnel. Guards maintain a magical barrier to keep him penned in. They have been feeding him guano from the Kraul's bats, which drives him into a frenzy and makes him stronger and tougher. They plan to set him loose on anyone who opposes them.

Abilities
- Rushing Charge: a burst of speed that carries Agathelos into his target and adds damage to his first strike.
- Rampage: hits everyone around him and stuns them for a few seconds.
- Enrage: raises his attack speed and physical damage for two minutes.
- Left for Dead: deals heavy damage to one player and forces them to feign death, taking them out of the fight.
Strategy
Agathelos is a pure melee beast, but he hits hard for the level and his stuns make healing awkward.
- Clear the quilboar guarding his pen and the tunnel around it before engaging. Fighting him with adds is how most wipes here happen.
- Only the tank should be in front of him. Rampage stuns everyone nearby, so melee damage dealers should accept the stuns or step out when the tank can hold him.
- When he enrages, his damage rises sharply. Save cooldowns such as Shield Wall for that phase, and have the healer keep the tank topped up.
- A player hit by Left for Dead is out of the fight until the effect ends or they stand up. Don't count on them for heals or damage.
Loot
| Item | Chance |
|---|---|
| [Swinetusk Shank] | 50% |
| [Ferine Leggings] | 50% |
The Swinetusk Shank is a fast dagger with Stamina and Spirit. The Ferine Leggings are leather legs with Strength and Agility, a good find for a druid or rogue.
Later history
Warlords of Draenor (patch 6.0.2) rebuilt Razorfen Kraul and removed Agathelos as a boss. In the new dungeon he lies dead, his body left in pools of blood for the bat Groyat to feed on. The original encounter returned with World of Warcraft Classic in 2019.
