Electrocutioner 6000
The Electrocutioner 6000 is a spider-legged mechano-tank in Gnomeregan, driven by one of the leper gnomes who follow Mekgineer Thermaplugg. It throws chain lightning at the group and carries the Workshop Key, which opens Gnomeregan's back door.
Background
Mekgineer Thermaplugg is not a patient inventor. According to the later Adventure Guide, he rushes his machines into the field without testing them, and the Electrocutioner 6000 was his first try at a super-charged mechano-tank that used electricity as a weapon. Only one soldier ever survived piloting it: Lieutenant Tom "Sizzlepants" Crankle, now something of a hero among the leper gnomes, the survivors of the city twisted by its radiation.
The tank stands on the central platform of the Launch Bay, a two-level hangar beyond the tunnels from the Hall of Gears, reached by a ramp from the west side of the upper level. Old flying machines and bombers still fill the bay. "Electric justice!" the pilot yells when the fight begins.

Abilities
- Chain Bolt: lightning that strikes one player and arcs to up to two more, for about 140 to 155 Nature damage each.
- Shock: an instant lightning bolt for over 260 Nature damage on one player.
- Megavolt: a cone of electricity in front of the tank.
Strategy
- Spread out. Chain Bolt jumps between players standing close together. Ranged players and the healer should keep some distance from each other.
- Interrupt Chain Bolt and Megavolt when possible.
- Nature resistance helps, and a shaman's Nature Resistance Totem cuts the damage of every lightning attack.
- Clear the platform first. Leper gnomes and machines patrol the Launch Bay; deal with them before engaging.
The damage is mostly magical, so the healer has to watch the whole group, not just the tank.

Loot
| Item | Chance |
|---|---|
| [Workshop Key] | 100% |
| [Electrocutioner Leg] | 33% |
| [Electrocutioner Lagnut] | 33% |
| [Spidertank Oilrag] | 33% |
The [Electrocutioner Leg] is a rare one-handed sword that can hit its target with lightning. The [Electrocutioner Lagnut] is a ring with Spirit and Stamina, and the [Spidertank Oilrag] cloth bracers that restore mana.
The [Workshop Key] opens Gnomeregan's locked back door, reached from the Workshop Entrance outside, so a group that comes back later can go straight into the Engineering Labs and on to Thermaplugg.
Quests
The Electrocutioner drops [Robo-mechanical Guts] now and then, one of the parts Shoni the Shilent in Stormwind City asks for in Gyrodrillmatic Excavationators.
Later history
Patch 2.3.0 lowered it from level 32 to 28. In the book Exploring Azeroth, parts of the destroyed tank, including the Electrocutioner Leg, were brought to Tinker Town in Ironforge for safekeeping. The original fight returned with World of Warcraft Classic.
