Pyroguard Emberseer
Pyroguard Emberseer is a fire elemental held prisoner in the Hall of Binding, the first boss of Upper Blackrock Spire. A servant of Ragnaros captured long ago, he is kept in chains by orc warlocks who drain his fire to warm the black dragonflight's eggs. Players have to break the binding and kill him, since the door to the Rookery opens only after he dies.
Background
The later Adventure Guide tells his story. Long ago Emberseer, a loyal minion of Ragnaros the Firelord, burned dozens of Blackrock orcs to death in a great battle in the Burning Steppes. He was finally beaten and imprisoned inside Blackrock Mountain. Nefarian now uses his trapped energy to speed the hatching of the black dragon eggs in the Rookery next door.
His jailers are the Blackhand Incarcerators, orcs of the Blackhand Legion who stand around him channeling the spell that binds him. The Hall of Binding sits behind the first sealed door of the Upper Spire, which opens once the orcs in the hall before it are all dead.

Abilities
The fight has two stages.
Imprisonment. The Blackhand Incarcerators attack first. Their Encage stuns a random player for several seconds, and they hit hard in melee.
Free. Once every incarcerator is dead, Emberseer breaks his bonds, thanks his rescuers and turns on them:
- Fire Nova: fire damage to every nearby player.
- Flame Buffet: fire damage on his target that also raises the fire damage they take, stacking up to five times.
- Fire Shield: burns players who stay close to him.
Strategy
In patch 1.12 the event starts at the Blackrock Altar in the middle of the room, which needs three players to use it at once. The incarcerators wake and attack. Groups treat them like any pull of elite orcs: crowd control, a few at a time, and someone free to break the Encage stuns where they can.
Emberseer himself is a fire-damage race. Fire resistance gear and Greater Fire Protection Potions help a lot. The tank needs the most healing because of the stacking Flame Buffet, and if it climbs too high a second tank can take over to let it fall off. Everyone else spreads out to take as little of the nova and shield as possible.
When he dies, the far door opens onto the Rookery, the room made famous by Leeroy Jenkins.
