Timmy the Cruel is a ghoul who announces himself with a single word, "TIMMY!", when he appears on the living side of Stratholme. He looks almost exactly like the ordinary ghouls around him, which made him easy to skip by mistake, but he hits much harder than any of them and drops a set of distinctive loot.
Background
Timmy was once a man named Timmison, a champion infamous for his savagery on the battlefield and for crimes against the innocent people of Stratholme. The later Adventure Guide suggests his cruelty grew out of the bullying he suffered as a child. Raised by the Scourge as a ghoul, his mind shattered, he now answers to the name he once hated.
His spawn cry is a nod to Timmy from the television show South Park, whose vocabulary is mostly his own name. Warcraft Wiki also places him in a small family of "Timmy" jokes found across the game.
Abilities
Timmy is a pure melee brawler.
- Ravenous Claw: a claw attack that heals him for the damage it deals.
- Thrash: extra attacks in quick succession.
- Enrage: at half health he hits harder and faster.
These names come from the later Adventure Guide; in Classic he was known simply as a ghoul who hit far harder than he looked.
Strategy
Timmy appears just outside the courtyard of the Scarlet Bastion, among the undead that press against the crusaders' walls. Groups clearing the square should look at names before skipping ghouls, since he can easily be mistaken for trash.
The fight itself is a straightforward tank-and-spank, but the tank matters. For his level Timmy hits very hard, and the tank's armor and health are tested more here than by most of the city's named enemies. Healers should keep the tank high, and the group should save its burst for the last half of his health, when he speeds up.

[The Cruel Hand of Timmy] is a one-handed mace. [Lightforge Gauntlets] are the paladin's Dungeon Set 1 gloves (see Tier Sets), which made Timmy a regular stop for paladins. He also drops a [Corruptor's Scourgestone] and usually a [Plagued Flesh Sample].
Quests
No Classic quest names Timmy. His flesh sample counts toward The Flesh Does Not Lie for Betina Bigglezink at Light's Hope Chapel, and his Scourgestone toward the Argent Dawn's repeatable turn-ins.
Later history
Patch 4.0.3a lowered him to level 47, and patch 7.2 gave him an updated ghoul model. He still yells his name when he appears.
