Lorgus Jett
This is revision 1, from Oct 29, 2026 04:23. See the current page.
Lorgus Jett is a human shaman of the Twilight's Hammer in Blackfathom Deeps, one of the cultists who serve the Old Gods in the drowned temple. He does not stand in one place: he appears at one of a few spots in the middle of the dungeon. The Horde's Earthen Ring wants him dead, and that quest is the main reason groups look for him.
Background
The Twilight's Hammer is a doomsday cult that worships the Old Gods, the ancient beings imprisoned beneath Azeroth. In Blackfathom Deeps the cult guards the hydra Aku'mai, which it sees as a sign of its masters' return, and it is gathering the elemental power of the place for its own summonings.
Lorgus Jett is one of its cultists, a human who uses the shaman's lightning even though he carries a two-handed hammer. A letter called the Damp Note reveals his plan: the cult's priestesses are to bring him the crystals of the Deeps, whose water spirits will strengthen the cult's aquamancers and appease Aku'mai. The Earthen Ring, the shamans who keep the balance of the elements, cannot allow it.
His spawn point varies. Warcraft Wiki places the earliest in a dead-end tunnel just past Gelihast and the last near the first group of Twilight cultists. Our data lists three spawn points.

Abilities
- Lightning Bolt: a Nature bolt at a single target.
- Lightning Shield: three balls of lightning circle him and strike back at players who hit him, until all three are used up.
Strategy
Lorgus is a weak elite for his level, with fewer than 2,000 health in our data, and the only boss-like thing about him is his name. Tank him, interrupt his Lightning Bolts, and kill him. Melee players will take a little damage from his Lightning Shield.
The hard part is finding him. Check each of his spawn points as you clear the middle of the dungeon, and watch for cultists that come with him.
Loot
Lorgus has no loot table of his own. He drops cloth and the random green and blue items that any monster of his level can drop, such as [Martyr's Chain] or [Staff of the Blessed Seer], at very low rates.
Quests
- Allegiance to the Old Gods (Horde): the [Damp Note], dropped by Blackfathom Tide Priestesses in our data, starts this quest; take it to Je'neu Sancrea of the Earthen Ring at Zoram'gar Outpost on the Ashenvale coast.
- Allegiance to the Old Gods: Je'neu then sends you back into Blackfathom Deeps to kill Lorgus Jett. The rewards are [Band of the Fist] or [Chestnut Mantle].

Later history
Cataclysm (patch 4.0.3a) lowered him to level 25 and made him a rare. He was removed with the rest of the old dungeon in patch 6.0.2. Season of Discovery later gave him a new version as a boss with paladin-themed loot, which Warcraft Wiki reads as a hint that he may have been a fallen paladin. The original version returned with World of Warcraft Classic.
