Princess Huhuran is a giant silithid wasp and the fourth required boss of the Temple of Ahn'Qiraj. She waits in a hive chamber lit by glowing eggs, and her fight was one of the big gear walls of the original game. Her poisons hit so hard that much of the raid had to wear nature resistance gear, and the last 30% of her health is a desperate race before her poison bolts wipe the group.
Background
Huhuran is a princess of the silithid, the insect swarms that serve the qiraji and their god, the Old God C'Thun. She rules the wasps of the temple's hive, the larger cousin of Ayamiss the Hunter in the Ruins of Ahn'Qiraj. Beyond her title, the game gives her no story. Her chamber sits past Fankriss the Unyielding on the way up to the Twin Emperors, so every raid that wants to reach C'Thun has to kill her.

Abilities
- Frenzy: every so often she goes into a frenzy that greatly raises her melee damage. A hunter's Tranquilizing Shot removes it.
- Wyvern Sting: puts up to ten players near her to sleep. Removing it early deals heavy nature damage to the target, so it's usually left alone.
- Acid Spit: a stacking acid on her tank that can't be resisted.
- [[forever:spell:26053]]: poisons a random player and everyone close to them, dealing nature damage over several seconds and silencing them. It can't be cured.
- Berserk: at 30% health she goes berserk. Her attack speed doubles, she stops frenzying, and every few seconds she fires poison bolts at the 15 players closest to her, each for about 2,000 nature damage.
- She can't be taunted.
Strategy
The fight is built around nature resistance. The 15 players closest to her take the poison bolts in the last phase, so raids chose 15 "soakers", usually tanks and melee, and put them in nature resistance gear. As long as all 15 stay alive, the bolts land on players who can take them. Once one of them dies, the bolts start hitting players with no resistance, and the raid usually falls apart. Guilds farmed nature resistance gear from the Cenarion Circle and from crafting for weeks to be ready.
Before 30%, Acid Spit stacks on the tank, and she can't be taunted, so two or three tanks take turns. A tank who wants to drop her uses a Blessing of Protection or an invulnerability potion, or is left asleep by Wyvern Sting while the next tank builds threat. Hunters rotate Tranquilizing Shot to remove each frenzy within a few seconds. The rest of the raid spreads out so Noxious Poison catches as few players as possible.
At 30% the raid uses everything it has left. Healers have to keep all 15 soakers up while the damage dealers burn her down, and fights often ended with a handful of players alive. Raids learned to save mana and cooldowns for this moment and to push the first 70% slowly and safely.
