Sign inCho'Rush the Observer
Cho'Rush the Observer is a two-headed ogre mage and the chief advisor of King Gordok in Dire Maul North. He fights at the king's side in the last battle of the Gordok Commons, healing him and casting spells at the group. Like Moira Bronzebeard beside Emperor Dagran Thaurissan in Blackrock Depths, he stops fighting the moment his king dies, apologizes, and joins the new ruler, which makes his tribute item one of the easiest to keep.
Background
According to the game's Adventure Guide, Cho'Rush usually stays out of ogre politics. When the warrior Ulrok was rising to power, though, it was clear no one could stop him. Once Ulrok had killed the old king and taken the name King Gordok, he made Cho'Rush his chief advisor, reasoning that an ogre with two heads must be twice as smart as most.
Cho'Rush has his own influence on the other henchmen. He once told Guard Fengus that he would meet his mate while on duty, and Fengus has patrolled almost without rest ever since.
Abilities
Warcraft Wiki groups his spells into three sets:
- Priest: Heal, Mind Blast, Power Word: Shield and Psychic Scream, which sends nearby players running.
- Shaman: Chain Lightning, Healing Chain, Lightning Bolt and an Earthgrab Totem that roots players near it.
- Mage: Arcane Explosion, Fireball, Frost Nova and Bloodlust on the king.
Whatever he casts, his heals and buffs on King Gordok are what make him dangerous.
Strategy
Most groups don't try to kill him. One player is assigned to Cho'Rush: they interrupt his heals, keep him busy and keep his spells off the healer, while everyone else kills the king. As soon as King Gordok falls, Cho'Rush yells "The king is dead - OH NOES! Summon Mizzle da Crafty!" and turns friendly: "Uh... I sorry I attack you boss. You no kill me, please OK?! You da king now, and I help make your tribute better!"
That's why he counts toward the Gordok Tribute chest just like the guards. Solo players and groups that want his loot have to kill him first instead, which Warcraft Wiki says is the easier order for soloing.
